With a background from the Danish Parliament, Brussels and the private sector, Josefine’s interests and professionalism are broad. Climate and Energy
With a background in the energy sector and politics, Josefine is able to translate sometimes difficult subject matter into accessible, understandable knowledge with questions that both challenge and help interview guests and panels. From CCS, biomass, smart grid, energy storage and nuclear power – Josefine has moderated conversations and debates in most areas of energy and climate change, and is passionate about getting the subject matter understandable but also correct to the participants.

EU and Foreign Policy
With a past in Brussels and an address in the US for a few seminal years, Josefine is passionate about foreign policy. Both on the big picture, such as the development of hegemonies and duopolies, but also on the very specific influence foreign policy has on our lives in Denmark. Both when it comes to cucumbers, chlorine bleached chickens and gas prices, but also conflicts from abroad that leave their mark at home. One thing is certain – there is no longer any foreign policy that does not affect us as individuals and Denmark as a whole – and given Josefine’s journalistic background, there are rarely topics she is not passionate about and has prior knowledge of.

The financial sector
A misunderstood sector that is often considered boring, but the journey of money between hands also bridges worlds, generations and professions. In other words, the financial sector is anything but boring. The interest dates back to when Josefine was one of the few to write a thesis on the structure of the Danish pension system and its impact on Danish business. So throw everything from the Joint Declaration to the history of the Dankort at her, and she’ll be able to start conversations and ask questions until we reach the cashless society.

The democratic conversation
How do you embrace both country and city, is it really longer from Herlev to Horsens than vice versa? Are young people too disinterested to understand society, or have older people ruined the conversation with stupid comments on social media? The breadth between groups in Denmark seems to be growing, but is that really the case? That’s one of the questions Josefine likes to try to answer when the topic turns to democracy. Because is there really more that divides than unites in a country that is 16 times smaller than the state of Texas?
