Mads Brügger

An award-winning and uncompromising journalist, documentarian and moderator with a unique ability to combine incisive analysis with provocative storytelling.
With years of experience navigating complex political and social landscapes, Mads Brügger specializes in uncovering power structures, challenging the status quo and engaging audiences in in-depth debates.

He has more than fifteen years of experience as a radio and TV journalist at Danmarks Radio, and as a writer and author, including for Euroman magazine. Several of his books have become bestsellers, most recently “Grænselandet” from L&R, about the Tønder case. From his job as host of DR2’s Deadline, he has extensive experience in keeping a leash on a debate. Mads Brügger holds a BA in Film Studies and History from the University of Copenhagen, specializing in the Balkans after 1945.

In 2010 Mads Brügger won the Grand Prize at the Sundance Festival for his documentary about North Korea, “The Red Chapel”.
