Jacob Fuglsang holds a master’s degree in comm. and education editor at Politiken and has worked as a journalist since 1993 at Information, Weekendavisen and for the last 17 years at Politiken. He was also press officer at the Ministry of Education from 1999 to 2000. At Politiken, Jacob Fuglsang has been debate editor, national editor and a member of the newspaper’s editorial board.

Special interests
As Politiken’s education editor, Jacob Fuglsang is in charge of the newspaper’s education coverage with regular weekly pages and special supplements on education. He is the initiator and responsible for Politiken’s Education Prize, which since 2013 has been awarded to teachers to focus on teaching and to create respect for the teaching profession.

In addition to his work at Politiken, Jacob Fuglsang has been a sought-after moderator and lecturer for over ten years. He is the author of the debate book “Den store løgn om uddannelse – et opgør med selvmodsigelserne i det danske uddannelsessystem”, published by Gyldendal in 2015.
